More Lean Muscle Less Fat

More Lean Muscle Less Fat

A Workout For Lean Muscle Building And Fat Burning And Muscle Density

I have 2 workouts for you today.

The first one is pretty much done as a fat loss workout. The second is a lean muscle building workout I use. I then will show you how to combine them to get stronger, add lean muscle and sharpen your muscle density.

The first workout comes courtesy of Craig Ballantyne.

This fat burning workout makes use of ladders (no not the kind you climb). Climbing the ladder is simply picking an exercise do 10 reps, then 9, 8 etc. down to 1 or doing the reverse starting at 1, then 2 etc.

3 Exercise Fat Burning Workout Using Ladders

 Here’s how it went down.

It was a “Ladder Workout”…and no, it doesn’t involve climbing any ladders.

With ladder workouts, you simply choose 1, 2, or 3 exercises, and then do: 10 reps per exercise9 reps per exericseand so on. Of course, you can also start with 1 rep, then 2, and work your way up to the top.

What I had my client do the other day was use these moves:

 - Barbell squats (Using 33% of his maximum squat weight, which for him meant 100 pounds because he can squat at least 300 pounds)

 - Decline Pushups

 - Inverted Rows (A TRX row would have been a beauty to do)

And do an Ascending-Descending Ladder, like this (with as little rest as possible between sets):

Set 1: 1 rep of squats, pushups, rows

Set 2: 2 reps of squats, pushups, rows

All the way up to 10, and then all the way back down. It doesn’t take very long, but gives you 110 reps per exercise.

POW! Right in the ol’ belly fat.

Some sweet belly fat burning action right there.

Now most ladders use kettlebell swings, but I subbed in the 33% Intensity Squat as an experiment, and it worked perfectly.

It causes fatigue but NO muscle soreness the next day.

The perfect total body fat burning workout right there.

Thanks again to Craig Ballantyne for this fat loss workout.

Although I look at this workout as strickly a fat burner it does have some merit for some lean muscle (but only a small amount). I would use it more as a finisher.

Which I’ll explain in a minute.

But first here is one of my… Lean Muscle Building Workouts

As you have probably guessed most of my workouts are total body workouts. Using the big total body exercises you just get more done and in less time. Here is one of my lean muscle (muscle density) workouts I did recently.
